Phuket Community started with a map, a scooter, and a simple goal: help people find the good stuff.
Back in 2022, we launched as Phuket South — a small printed map focused on Rawai and Naiharn. Just 2,000 copies, dropped off at cafés, gyms, coworking spaces, and anywhere else locals and newcomers might pass through. It wasn’t fancy, but it was useful. And it worked.
People started asking for more. More spots, more stories, more local tips — beyond just Rawai.
So we grew.
That little map became Phuket Community: a digital hub, a weekly newsletter, a growing team, and soon, a lifestyle magazine. We now cover the whole island, but our mission stays the same — real recommendations, good local stories, and supporting the community that makes Phuket special.
We’re not a travel agency. We’re not here to sell tours. We’re here to share the kind of info you’d get from a friend who’s been here a while — honest, useful, and full of local love.
We’re a small-but-mighty crew spread across the island (and a couple time zones). Some of us are on the ground in Phuket, others are working behind the scenes — but we’re all here to help keep Phuket Community running, growing, and grounded in what makes this place great.
Lover of Naiharn mornings, noodle soup lunches, and helping good ideas grow. Codi started Phuket Community as a side project and somehow turned it into a full-on island media brand. You’ll usually find her chasing good stories, collabs, and coconut coffee.
Yogi lives in Indonesia but somehow always knows what’s happening in Phuket. He’s our webmaster and online support wizard — handling the tech, the updates, and the magic behind the screen. He may not be here in person, but he’s everywhere online.
Andrew and his team at Tellr help bring big ideas to life. From content strategy to editorial support, they’ve been major supporters of the PC vision since the early days — and continue to guide us as we grow.
Fin’s the guy on the scooter dropping off 1000s of maps to 100s of local spots. If you’ve ever grabbed one of our maps at a café, beach bar, or coworking space — there’s a good chance Fin put it there. Master of logistics, local convos, and map hustle.
Bell keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From bookkeeping to making sure we’re ticking all the right boxes, she’s our quiet powerhouse. She also manages the office at Chokdee Group, the company that helps make Phuket Community possible.
At the core of Phuket Community is one simple idea: share what’s good, and do it with heart. We’re not here to sell the island — we’re here to help people really experience it, with honesty, kindness, and curiosity.
Here’s what guides us:
No fluff, no hype. We share what we’d tell a friend — good recommendations, honest reviews, and real-life advice from people who live here.
We spotlight the small, the independent, the homegrown. Whether it’s a tucked-away noodle shop or a beach cleanup group, we believe local is where the magic is.
Phuket is a mix of cultures, communities, and perspectives. We think that’s something to be proud of — and something worth protecting.
Whether you’ve been here for years or just landed yesterday, you’re part of something bigger. We’re here to help people connect — through stories, maps, events, and shared island life.
We know what it’s like to arrive and not know where to start. So we try to make everything we do welcoming, simple, and useful — like a local friend showing you around.
Phuket Community lives both online and offline — from beach cafés with our maps on the counter to inboxes filled with weekly tips. Here’s where you can find us:
