About

I have lived in Phuket for over four years, but I've been travelling here since the year 2000. During that time, I've witnessed the island go through some incredible changes to become what it is today — a thriving international destination for both holidays and long-term living.

What I love most about Phuket is the lifestyle and the balance it offers. We have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, fantastic food, a warm climate all year round and endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Whether it's training Muay Thai, exploring the island on my motorbike, hiking through the countryside or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon by the sea, there's always something to do.

One of Phuket's greatest strengths is its diversity. It's home to a genuinely international community, with people from all walks of life living and working alongside the local Thai population. Despite the rapid development, there's still a strong sense of Thai culture and tradition, particularly when you get away from the busier tourist areas.

I've also watched Phuket develop enormously in terms of infrastructure, restaurants, healthcare, fitness facilities and general quality of life. It now offers many of the conveniences you'd expect from a major international city, but with the added benefits of island living.

Of course, Phuket has its challenges. The traffic has become noticeably worse, development continues at a remarkable pace and some areas have lost a little of their original charm. But I still believe the positives far outweigh the negatives.

For me, Phuket offers something that's increasingly difficult to find elsewhere — the opportunity to enjoy a healthy, active outdoor lifestyle, surrounded by beautiful scenery, good people and a welcoming community. It's a place where I've been fortunate enough to build a business, make lasting friendships and create a life that I genuinely enjoy.

After more than 25 years of visiting the island, I still feel incredibly fortunate to call Phuket home.
