From world-ranked party venues and floating platforms to quiet beachfront retreats — the best beach clubs on the island, for every vibe and budget.
The only beach club in Phuket ranked among the world’s top 50 clubs.
Café del Mar is the Ibiza-born global brand that Phuket can genuinely claim as its own — this venue earned its place in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs worldwide on merit, jumping 25 spots to #45 in 2025. By day it’s a chilled Mediterranean poolside experience with sunbeds, excellent food, and the kind of sunset that requires no filter. After dark, the Pyramid Stage (capacity 3,000) and the Temple Stage host a rotation of internationally renowned DJs including Solomun, Peggy Gou, and Francis Mercier. The newly renovated indoor club room gives the venue genuine year-round flexibility. If you visit Phuket and care about nightlife at all, this is the one you don’t skip.
Two iconic Phuket beach club experiences — one a long-standing favourite, the other completely one-of-a-kind.
Catch has been anchoring Bang Tao Beach for years and hasn’t lost its appeal. It opens at 7:30am — one of the earliest on the island — which means you can genuinely spend an entire day here from morning swim to late-night drinks. The oversized sunbeds and poolside cabanas are the draw by day; the central bar is perfectly positioned for the Bang Tao sunset. A relaxed, well-run venue that delivers consistently without needing to shout about it.
There is genuinely nothing else like YONA in Phuket or anywhere else in Thailand. A three-level floating platform with a 22-metre infinity pool, a lounge pool on the sunset terrace, a rooftop with panoramic ocean views, four bars, and a restaurant — all anchored in the middle of the Andaman Sea. Mornings are family-friendly and relaxed; afternoons (from 2pm, age 20+) shift into full party mode with DJs and entertainment. A shuttle boat runs every 10–15 minutes from the shore — the ride takes about 10 minutes.
Five more beach clubs picked by the Phuket Community team — each with a distinct identity worth knowing about.
Maya draws on ancient Mayan and Aztec aesthetics filtered through a modern coastal lens — it sounds gimmicky but it works. By day it’s daybeds, Mediterranean and South American fusion food, and the Kata Beach crowd. After dark, it becomes a proper show: international DJs, fire performances, dancers, and production that punches well above its weight for a beach club. One of the more theatrical nights out on the island.
One of the newer arrivals on the list — Barra Cuda opened on Patong Beach in 2024 and quickly established itself as a stylish alternative to the area’s older venues. A semi-circular pool faces directly out to sea with lots of white and clean lines keeping the aesthetic sharp. The energy builds steadily through the afternoon into a genuine party scene after dark. Worth visiting for anyone staying in the Patong area who wants something newer and sleeker.
Carpe Diem sits at the quieter northern end of Bang Tao and leads with its kitchen rather than its DJ booth — a Mediterranean and Italian menu built around fresh seafood, salads, and pasta, with a wine list that takes itself seriously. The vibe is calm and the crowd reflects that: couples, families, and expats who’d rather have a great meal with sand between their toes than a full-volume night out. The ideal pick for a beach dinner without the noise.
One of the most exciting new openings of 2025 — RAVA sits within the Banyan Tree resort complex on Bang Tao and stretches three infinity pools along 150 metres of beachfront, making it one of the longest beach club pool setups in Thailand. The design is modern and refined without feeling cold. Upscale but not intimidating — a strong choice for anyone who wants a premium day out without the full party-scene commitment.
Technically just north of Phuket on Natai Beach — but worth the 40-minute drive. Baba Beach Club has 200 metres of uncrowded beachfront, a swim-up bar, and a design that blends Sino-Portuguese architecture with the vivid colour palette of Shanghai Tang. It’s one of the most distinctive-looking venues in the region. If you’re looking for a full escape from the crowds and noise of the main beach clubs, this is the one.
More great beach clubs across the island — particularly strong for expats, resort guests, and visitors looking for something quieter. Know a spot that belongs on this list? Tell us about it →
Popular with the Bangtao and Laguna expat crowd for good reason — healthy breakfast, laid-back afternoon lounging, and a late-night dancing option all in one. Something for everyone across a full day.
The beach club and lounge bar at InterContinental Resort Phuket on Kamala. Laid-back atmosphere with a thoughtful menu covering Thai, European, and Japanese dishes, and a resident DJ every evening. A calm, well-run alternative to the louder clubs nearby.
Part of the Twin Palms Phuket resort complex — comfortable sunbeds, private cabanas, and a pool with panoramic ocean views. The most relaxed venue on this list by some distance. Best for a quiet, unhurried beach day away from the crowds.
An exclusive beachfront venue within Anantara Layan Phuket — soothing interiors, panoramic sea views, and waterfront tables. The Zuma Japanese pop-up collaboration is a recurring draw. Quieter and more curated than most venues on this list.
Perched on a cape at the southern tip of the island with a 360° view of the Andaman Sea — technically a rooftop bar, but it functions as a dayclub and one of the most photographed spots in all of Phuket. Reservation is essential. Worth it for the view alone.
Phuket’s beach club scene is growing every year. New venues open, great spots get overlooked, and local favourites deserve more attention. If there’s a place you love, tell us — we review every suggestion and update this list regularly.
